Gig Recap – 29th January 0

It’s been a good few weeks now since the inaugral gig at The Comedy Basement. So, in terms of recap, those who were in attendance got a good show. Of course, we’d love to hear your opinion, so feel free to comment on this post or contact us privately to let us know what you think.

The acts you saw on the 29th Janaury were, in the first half, Paddy McGaughey, Shane Todd, Graeme Watson and in the second half you were treated to Matthew Collins, Stacey Mead and Adam Laughlin. Your headline act was Liam Watson. You got seven comedians strutting their stuff in one night. Awesome.

Pictures will be put up of the night by the end of this week, feel free to have a butchers at them and of course, if you spot yourself in them give us a shout. You won’t get anything for it but it’ll give you a nice warm glow inside. In which case you ought to see a doctor.

Details on the gig this month will follow later on in the week, but of course I won’t be giving it all away as we like to keep a sense of mystery and intrigue.

Have a nice day.

The Internet Era 0

Well, finally, after about two or three weeks of hoo-ing and ha-ing, the Comedy Basement finally has an online home. Yes, that’s right folks, not only am I your loyal club runner and emcee, I am also an Internet guru and web designer. That being said, I don’t intend the site to look like this for a very long time, I believe this is a stepping stone to new beginnings!

So, now that that drivel has been dealt with, time to get to business. We have got a twitter account that you can follow us and what we’re doing over at twitter or visit our facebook group.

Expect a few more posts in the coming days with a look back to the first gig that went down on the 29th January, including photos and reactions as well as some further details on our up and coming gig on the 26th February.
